Love fishing? Canal Side Apartment is every fisherman’s dream.  It’s known this area of the Grand Union Canal is a hot spot for local catches. Great Linford Lakes is also a stones through away - a mixed coarse fishery comprising of nine lakes and approx. 2.5 miles of river.  Canal Side Apartment is the perfect retreat for a fishing break or for canal lovers alike.

Detailed directions to the accommodation will always be sent prior to your stay.

Before you pack your belongings there is no need to worry about buying some essentials as we provide enough to get you started including tea coffee and some welcome treats! We will also provide enough towels and linen for your stay.

Canal Side Apartment is tastefully decorated with a splendid mix of contemporary and traditional art and furniture – it even features a retro working Bang & Oulfsen TV!

The apartment also benefits from a recently installed gas boiler (gas certified), bluetooth and integrated internal ceiling speakers throughout.

The Area

Milton Keynes is truly a shopper’s paradise being home to one of the largest covered shopping centres in Europe – the centre:mk and intu Milton Keynes boasting over 400 high street shops!  It also includes the Xscape complex which comprises of an indoor ski slope, sky dive, casino, restaurants, bars and a stone throw away is the modern MK Theatre District.

Although Milton Keynes is a new city, it manages to effortlessly blend modern-day culture with deep-rooted history dating back to the WWII code-breaking Enigma machine in Bletchley Park – Home of the Codebreaker which now is a must see museum!

Close by in Bletchley is a newly opened retail park and home ground to the MK Dons FC which features an Odeon IMAX Cinema.

If you fancy getting up close and personal with creatures great and small then a trip to nearby Woburn Safari Park is a must and it’s impressive Abbey.

The apartment allows visitors to discover the beautiful surroundings dominated by Great Linford Manor and St Andrews Church together with nearby Stone Circle and the Old Railway Bridge.

There’s also two local shopping complexes (Great Linford Local Centre and Oakridge Park Centre) perfect for grocery shopping.

Great Linford has two delightful Public Houses both within walking distance of the property.

The Black Horse Pub is situated on the Grand Union Canal and (if the weather permits) guests can walk on the canal path to the pub.

The Nags Head is situated in Great Linford Village which is cosy and casual and steeped in history being a traditional 15th century thatched cottage.

Canal Side Apartment lies just 1.3 miles from historic Newport Pagnell. Here you will find many independent shops from nail bars to bakeries.

Stony Stratford and Olney market towns also boast similar independent shops, cafes and restaurants and are a short drive away.

Milton Keynes is just a 30 minute drive from Northampton and Bedford alike with close links to Cambridge, Oxford and Bicester Village (designer shopping outlet) thanks to the near-by coach station. Visit and for things to see and do.

Booking Terms and Conditions:

Check in from 1pm (earlier check in can be arranged subject to agreement)

Check out by 11am (later check out can be arranged subject to agreement)
It is always useful to have an estimated arrival time from guests

  1. It's possible to extend a booking which can be made at any time subject to availability, payment must be made in full for any alterations
  2. It is the bookers responsibility to confirm a cancellation in writing or email, it is the bookers responsibility to check the request has been received
  3. The apartment is not to be used under any circumstances for playing loud music or partying
  4. Smoking is not permitted in the apartment, a designated smoking area can be accessed on the private terrace
  5. Strictly no pets of any kind
  6. Canal Side Apartment staff have the right to terminate a booking as a result of breaching these conditions, mistreatment of the apartment, staff or engaging in criminal activity

A 25% deposit must be paid at time of booking. This is non-refundable should you cancel your trip at any time.
Remaining balance is due no later than 7 days (including weekends) prior to your arrival date.

If booking less than 7 days before arrival date the full balance will be due at time of booking

You will always receive a booking confirmation and a receipt for both your deposit and remaining balance

We accept payment by direct bank transfer, pay pal and can take a card payment over the phone. We accept cheques but strictly need to be received no later than 14 days prior to your stay.

Arrangements can be made for cash payments
